Former ANC Secretary General, Ace Magashule would have done all that was necessary to remain in the party, if he was genuine about his loyalty to the institution. This is the contention of political analyst, Levy Ndou.
He was speaking as Magashule has officially been booted from the ANC. The party’s National Disciplinary Committee had found Magashule guilty of misconduct, and for failing to make submissions as to why he should not be expelled from the ANC.
Two years ago, Magashule unilaterally attempted to suspend party president Cyril Ramaphosa, and later refused to apologise for his actions.
He also faces several corruption related charges, which have yet to be tried in court.
