The Department of International Relations and Cooperation will be back in court next week to appeal an interdict against government’s planned donation of R 50 million to Cuba.

North Gauteng High Court Judge Brenda Neukircher sided with AfriForum’s application to set aside the donation.

“DIRCO is studying the judgment and are preparing their heads of argument for when they appear before the court next month,” said Minister Pandor.

She adds that the African Renaissance fund provides humanitarian aid through food, medical supplies, or other forms of support.
