1 cup pea/chana flour
2 tbsp cake flour
1 onion finely chopped/grated
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp koljana/dhania
1 tsp salt
1 level tsp turmeric
1 tsp crushed chilli or 1 fresh chilli
Handful chopped fresh dhania
1 or 2 spinach leaves
1 tsp baking powder
Mix and sieve all dry ingredients.
Add more or less 1 cup water.
Drop teaspoons full into hot oil.
Fry for about 1 min. Test with a toothpick.
Do not shred spinach, rather cut into squares, dip into batter and shallow fry until crispy.
