A new report revealed that Covid-19 related deaths have left 150 000 South African children orphaned.

This is according to the Imperial College London.

It revealed that the number of children who became orphans rose to above 200 000 when one included children who lost their primary or secondary caregivers such as a grandparent.

Unicef South Africa says orphans suffer issues of greater levels of anxiety, depression and even anger due to the lack of family support in their lives.
