A couple accused of killing an eight-month-old baby in Bonteheuwel has been remanded in custody. The 32-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were arrested on Friday.
Local ward councillor Angus Mckenzie who visited little Levy Isaacs home says it’s alleged that this has been an ongoing case of child abuse. He says he is shocked, heartbroken and disgusted. Mckenzie says Levy was not abused by a stranger but the person who gave birth to him and her husband.
He says this is not who we are as a people or the society we aiming to be. Police say the case has been postponed to January 22nd for a formal bail application. The state is opposing bail.
