Cape Town’s swimming pool season is officially underway, with selected City pools now open to the public.
Residents can make use of the facilities daily between 10:00 and 17:00, as warmer weather settles across the city.
Among the pools currently open are those in Langa, Delft, Elsies River, Kensington, Long Street, Morningstar, Parow Valley, Ravensmead, Sea Point, Trafalgar, Blue Downs, Eastridge, Hanover Park, Manenberg, Muizenberg, Newlands, Retreat, Strand and Wynberg.
However, several pools remain closed while maintenance and repair work is carried out. The City says these facilities will reopen once the necessary work, quality assessments and safety checks have been completed.
Residents are advised to check the City of Cape Town’s latest swimming-pool schedule before visiting.
