INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Heaped Tbsp butter
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 cups Self Raising Flour
  • 1cup milk/water mixture
  • Oil for deep frying

Sugar Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water

METHOD

  • In a bowl, add butter, sugar, eggs and mix well.
  • Sift in flour and baking powder and mix until well blended.
  • Add milk and water mixture and mix until dough has a soft consistency.
  • Deep fry by dropping spoons full of batter into hot oil until golden brown.
  • Repeat until all the batter has been used.
