INGREDIENTS:
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ Cup Milk
- 1 tin pie apples drained
METHOD:
1.Cream the eggs, butter, sugar, and vanilla essence until light and fluffy
2.Add in the flour, baking powder, and milk and mix until it’s smooth and lump free.
3.Pour batter into a small or medium rectangle pyrex or a round tart or pie dish.
4.Add the drained apples and add a sprinkle of cinnamon.
5.Bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 min until golden brown or a toothpick comes out clean.
6.Once the cake comes out of the oven, pour over sauce immediately while the cake is hot.
SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ¾ cup evapourated milk or cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
METHOD:
1.In a microwavable safe bowl or on a stove top, add the butter, sugar, evapourated milk / cream, and vanilla essence
2.Mix well and heat until it boils.
3.Once hot, pour the sauce over the hot cake.
4.Serve with custard and enjoy
