There’s been yet another deadly bombing attack on a mosque in Afghanistan, claiming at least 50 lives.
The incident occurred in Kabul, just a day after two separate bomb explosions hit the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
Today’s attack occurred at Khalifa Aga Gul Jan Mosque as hundreds of people gathered for the last Jumuah of Ramadan.
The head of the mosque, Sayed Fazil Agha, says that a suspected assailant walked in and detonated explosives.
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has condemned the blast, and has warned the perpetrators that they would be found and punished.
A wave of deadly bombings has rocked Afghanistan over the past two weeks during the fasting month of Ramadan.
