Those implicated in group copying during the 2021 final matric exams will not receive their results this Friday.
Qualifications regulator, Umalusi has instructed the Department of Basic Education to withhold these outcomes pending the finalisation of their investigation into the alleged cheating.
Umalusi has noted a trend in which some pupils were given exam papers earlier than the 8.30am rule.
The department is investigating why this has been happening at certain exam centres.
While the irregularities are being investigated, Umalusi chairperson, John Volmink says that the National Senior Certificate exam results can be released this Friday.
