The New Cross community in Gugulethu has been left shaken after a triple murder. According to police, the bodies of a male and female were found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
They were shot inside a residence in Nontulo Street.
The third body was found outside the premises. The man had a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
Police say the motive for the attack is being investigated.
Serious and violent crime detectives have been put on this case, with police saying all available leads will be pursued with urgency and diligence to ensure that those responsible are brought to book.
