Hezbollah has confirmed the martyrdom of a high-ranking military commander, Haitham Ali Tabtabai and four other resistance fighters. They were assassinated in what the Lebanese resistance movement described as a treacherous “Israeli” aggression on a neighbourhood in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
The Resistance has remembered the martyr on the road to Al-Quds for his diligent work in confronting the “Israeli” enemy until the last moment of his life. Hezbollah says he never knew fatigue in the course of defending the land and the Lebanese people. It went on to affirm that Tabtabai’s source of strength and inspiration during his lifetime, will continue to fuel the resistance fighters to defeat all projects of the Zionist enemy and its patron, America.
The 57-year-old Tabtabai, known as Sayyid Abu Ali, joined the Islamic Resistance at its inception and went on to become one of its central military leaders.
Over the decades, he completed extensive military and command training, led key fronts in south Lebanon, and played a decisive role in major confrontations, including the support front for Al-Aqsa Flood. He also contributed to the development of the Resistance’s most elite forces, the Radwan Force.
Regional Resistance Reaction
Palestine’s Al-Qassam and Saraya Al-Quds Brigades have praised the contributions made by Tabtabai in the battle against the US-backed Israeli entity.
The military wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam, commended the role Sayyid Abu Ali played in supporting the Palestinian people and their Resistance during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle. It recalled his significant contributions to building and strengthening the Resistance front against the Zionist occupation over the years.
Islamic Jihad’s armed wing, Saraya Al-Quds, remembered Tabtabai for his long journey of jihad and resistance. In its period of mourning, the brigade pledged to continue the Path to Al-Quds — the path of the martyrs — and to persist in their struggle and defence of Palestine and its sanctities until every inch of the land is liberated from the defilement of the usurping Zionists.
The Israeli entity’s treacherous and cowardly crimes of assassination will never break the will of the Resistance, nor weaken its resolve. That was the declaration of the Political Bureau of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement.
It notes that while the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has offered all sacrifices for their homeland and in victory for the Palestinian cause, what has emboldened the Zionist enemy has been the failure of certain Arab regimes and the collusion of some of them with the enemy. But Ansar Allah says that no matter how much the “Israeli” enemy imagines it has achieved success in one operation or another, it is living in delusion and drinking from a mirage as its days are numbered.
