National Coloured Congress MP, Fadiel Adams has slammed KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s recent press briefing, calling it a “staged threat” to the country. Adams accused Mkhwanazi of inciting unrest and using armed officers to intimidate the public.

In the briefing, Mkhwanazi had made several allegations against the now suspended police minister, Senzo Mchunu. Adams also warned that the briefing may have been a pre-emptive move to shield Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola from arrest. He urged Parliament to investigate all parties involved, not just those named by Mkhwanazi.
