Hajj 2025: More than 2 million pilgrims ascend Mount Afarah marking the pinnacle of the sacred pilgrimage

Nearly two million Muslims have embarked on the sacred Hajj pilgrimage this year.

The faithful will reach the climax of the Hajj as they immerse themselves in supplication and prayer on Mount Arafat, known as the Mount of Mercy.

It’s believed that it’s here where Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) delivered his final sermon to humanity.

A sermon that dealt with matters of social justice, human rights, and moral conduct – stressing the responsibility of the Muslim Ummah.

The Hajj pilgrimage is the fifth pillar of Islam and must be performed by all Muslims who are financially able to, at least once in their lifetime.
