US President Donald Trump has announced the lifting of sanctions on Syria, saying that it will give the country a chance at greatness.
The US had imposed these sanctions on the Assad regime, which had been confronting the ISIL terrorist group.
The lifting of the sanctions had reportedly come at the urging of Turkey and the Saudi regime.
He made this announcement at the Saudi Investment Conference. Soon after Syrian President Bashar al-Assad left the country, Syria’s army had been left in a shambles, opening the region up to occupation from the Zionist regime.
