Hamas military wing, Al Qassam Brigades has released the Zionist soldier holding an American citizenship, Edan Alexander, following communications with the US administration.

The resistance said that this is part of efforts led by mediators to reach a ceasefire, open the crossings, and allow humanitarian aid and relief to reach Palestinians suffering starvation and famine in the Gaza Strip.

This step comes after significant communications during which Hamas demonstrated a high level of positivity and flexibility. While this US-brokered release comes amidst calls for ceasefire, the Israeli war-monger Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted that negotiations aimed at securing the release of all Gaza captives will persist “under fire,” while the Israeli occupation military prepares for an escalation in the genocide.

This agreement comes as a spat is brewing between US President Donald Trump and Netanyahu.

The entity’s staunchest ally appears to be exasperated by the Netanyahu’s clinging to power, while drawing out a genocide that has jeopardized western-interests in the region.

Palestinian political analyst, Dr Mustafa Barghouti said that the situation in the region has lead the US to focus on its own interests rather than being diverted by the Israeli agenda.
