BRICS is not competing with anyone, yet it is significant that there are entities opposed to the bloc’s strength. This is the contention of Russian President, Vladimir Putin. He says that those opposed to these kinds of formations are only due to certain powers manipulating rules for their own interests. President Putin says that this is colonialism in a new package. Addressing leaders at the 15th BRICS summit, the Russian leader also noted that the world order is being threatened by radical neo-liberalism imposed by some countries, which is aimed at eliminating traditional values.
