Tazne van Wyk’s murderer and rapist has been sentenced to nine life-terms in prison.
In handing down judgement, Western Cape High Court Judge Alan Maher said that the 57-year-old is clearly beyond any hope of rehabilitation and has a heart of darkness.
He was found guilty on 21 charges, four of which relate to Tazne’s rape and murder.
The eight-year-old was reported missing in February 2020.
On finding the convict, police uncovered a series of rapes and assaults within the convicted man’s circle of family and friends.
