The Sports Legends Programme – a dedicated show to highlight the history and contribution of sport in local communities – hosted a discussion of deep significance about the slow pace of transformation. This, the show revealed was a cause for which persons like the late Ebrahim Patel fought for which enabled the careers of so many talented players of colour. Hosted by Dr. Omar Esau, the Sports Legends show hosted Sas Bailey, the first black South African Rugby Football Union (SARFU) general manager, Makkie Isaacs and Faiek ‘Blatchang’ Hendricks.
