A mother and her 16-month-old baby have died in a fire in Kensington.

Three other people were displaced.

According to the City’s Fire and Rescue Service they were alerted to a structure being on fire in 14th Street during the early hours of this morning. The blaze took more than an hour to extinguish.

The cause of the fire is still unclear at this stage.
