Three of the accused in the Thabo Bester escape matter will remain in police custody until their next court appearance on 3 and 4 May.

They include Doctor Nandipha Magudumana, Integritron Integrated Solutions (IIS) employee Teboho Lipholo, and former G4S guard Senohe Matsoara.

Magudumana’s father, Zolile Sekeleni has been granted bail of R10 000. He is due back in court on May 16, which is when Bester is also due to appear.

Bester had a lavish life while at the Mangaung Maximum Security facility run by G4S. He was reportedly allowed to leave the prison on several occasions to meet with Magudumana. He subsequently escaped the prison last May.

Bester was found with Magudumana in Tanzania just under two weeks ago.
