Saudi warplanes have bombarded parts of Yemen killing at least 14 people and wounding more than ten others.

According to Yemen’s news channel, al-Masirah the deadly attack was carried out on the Ma’een district in the capital Sana’a. It says five residential houses were also damaged in the airstrikes. Some 50 aerial attacks were also carried out on several other Yemeni areas including the central province of Ma’rib.

The intensified Saudi aggression came as the Yemeni army and its community battalions struck at the heart of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Drone and ballistic missile attacks under Operation Hurricane Yemen targeted strategic sites in the Gulf country’s capital Abu Dhabi.

According to Emirati officials three people died and six others were wounded. The retaliatory strike caused an explosion of fuel tanker trucks near the storage facilities of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, and a fire also broke out at a construction site at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Yemen’s Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree has warned the UAE of more painful blows if it persists with its involvement in the deadly Saudi-led aggression on his country.
