1 November Declared A Public Holiday

November 1st – the date of the local government elections has been declared a public holiday.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on all registered voters to exercise their democratic right, and civic duty by participating in the elections.

The president adds that by voting, it empowers citizens to elect new leadership and influence service delivery in their respective areas.

Voters have been reminded to cast their vote at polling stations where they have registered and abide by Covid-19 regulations.
