Two suspects have arrested following a shootout in Delft South on Friday last week will appear in court on Monday.
According to police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, crime prevention unit officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, residents in the area helped officers locate the suspects as they tried fleeing. A chase ensued which later resulted in a shootout.
Two 38 special revolvers and ammunition were confiscated.
The duo is set to face charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, as well as attempted murder. They are due to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
