It has been a difficult night for the human rights activists on the Madleen which is on a mission to break the Israeli occupation’s siege on Gaza and deliver lifesaving humanitarian aid.

Speaking to Radio 786, activist Thiago Ávila who is on the vessel, says drones were monitoring and passing them.

Avila says these intimidation tactics will not deter them, adding that they know they are dealing with an Israeli entity that starves children, bombs hospitals, shelters and schools.

The Gaza Freedom Flotilla plans to reach the Palestinian city on Sunday. The vessel is carrying baby formula, flour, rice, medical supplies, and children’s prosthetics.

However, the Israeli occupation plans to block the Madleen from docking at the Gaza port.

The occupation’s war minister Israel Katz is to set to discuss the matter. The occupation has sought to intimidate the group of human rights activists by deploying drones.

Last month the Israeli occupation military bombed a Freedom Flotilla ship called the Conscience off the coast of Malta.
