A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to two life terms and 15 years in jail for the murder of an elderly man in Brackenfell.

Reagan Davis was found guilty of murdering 75-year-old Hashim Ahmed Dennis and attempting to kill his wife, Kulsoem, during a brutal home invasion.

The couple was attacked while preparing for the morning prayer, Fajr, in their flatlet in January 2020.

Evidence revealed that the killing was a contract hit, ordered by the couple’s son-in-law, Brent Williams, who died before the trial concluded.

Davis received additional sentences for housebreaking, robbery, and attempted murder.
