Mitchell's Plain police are demanding that the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) investigate why several drug-related cases have been struck off the court roll at the Mitchell's Plain Magistrate's Court. At least 34 cases have been withdrawn between December and January. Mitchell's Plain Community Policing Forum chairman Michael Jacobs said withdrawing the cases, robs those who need it most of a chance to get treatment at the state's expense. |
