Wildfires are continuing to rage in the southern Cape. Forest fire fighter are battling  seven different blazes. The head of disaster management in the region, Gerhard Otto, said by late this afternoon the fires had become worse rather than better with the hot, dry and windy conditions aggravating the situation. The worst blaze is in Knysna where fire-fighters are working to save homes and businesses. Other fires are in Plettenberg Bay and Franschhoek Pass.
