The Western Cape Social Development Department says fewer non-governmental and non-profit organisations would be getting funding from the province this year. The department has just completed a comprehensive audit of 1 800 state funded organisations to determine which ones were providing the best services to residents. The province spends half a billion rand each year on funding NGOs. |
